Will employers know it's a bot applying?+
The application arrives the way any other does — through the employer's own form, filled in with your real details and answers, and sent only after you approve it. We don't disguise anything or apply as anyone but you. Some employer sites run bot checks; when one stops us, we hand the application to you to finish yourself.
Is my data safe?+
Yes. We don't sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Your resume content goes to Claude (Anthropic) only when you trigger AI generation, and Anthropic’s published policy deletes those inputs within 30 days. Stripe holds your card — we never see it. You can export everything or delete your account in one click from Settings.
What happens after my 3-day free trial?+
It converts to a $13.49/month membership (plus any optional donation you chose to add) — but only if you've added a card. We don't ask for a card to start the trial. If you haven't added one by day 3, the bot pauses and your account stays viewable. No surprise charges, ever.
Can I control which jobs the bot applies to?+
Always. You set your target roles, locations, job type and salary in Preferences, and choose how many applications the bot prepares a day (1–20). Every match shows a fit score and you pick which ones to prepare. Nothing is sent until you've reviewed and approved that application.
What if a captcha or weird ATS form trips up the bot?+
We don't solve captchas — when one appears, the bot pauses and you finish that step yourself, in the live view or on the employer's site. For questions it hasn't seen before, the bot drafts an answer from your profile and marks any it wrote itself as AI-written, so you can check it before you approve.
Why $13.49? Why not free?+
Each bot run costs us real money — Claude AI for tailored résumés and cover letters, the browser that fills in each application, and server time. Pricing it cheap-but-not-free covers the cost while keeping it accessible. You're paying for the time you'd otherwise spend filling out the same fields 50 times a week.
Will the bot apply to jobs I'm underqualified for?+
It tries not to — the match score weighs years of experience, must-have skills and seniority — but no automated filter is perfect. That's why nothing is sent without your approval: skip any match that isn't a fit.
What is Nico's Place Foundation, and how does my subscription support it?+

Visit Nico's Place FoundationHow much water does the AI use?+
By our estimate, about one sip — a tablespoon and a half, roughly 20–24 mL — of data-centre cooling water for one complete job application. That's the AI requests we measured, multiplied by the per-request figures AI providers publish. For scale, generating a typical U.S. home's electricity consumes about 10–14 gallons of water a day. We only call AI where it does real work: tailoring your résumé, writing a cover letter, answering an application question.
